The Journal Islamic Religious Education Research (JIRER) is firmly committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure the integrity, transparency, and scientific quality of every article it publishes. All parties involved in the publication process authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

  1. Authors’ Responsibilities

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, and all sources and references are properly cited. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Proper credit must be given to the ideas, data, and findings of others. Authors must accurately cite all sources used in their work.

Multiple Submissions

Authors may not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time or publish substantially similar work in multiple venues.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or outcome of their research.

Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and must approve the final version of the manuscript.

 

  1. Editors’ Responsibilities

Publication Decisions

Editors are responsible for selecting articles for publication based on their scholarly merit, significance, and relevance—free from any form of discrimination or bias.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must keep all details about submitted manuscripts confidential and must not disclose information to anyone outside the editorial process.

Fair and Objective Review

Editors must ensure that the peer-review process is conducted fairly, transparently, and without any personal or financial conflicts of interest.

  1. Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Confidentiality
Reviewers are required to treat the manuscripts they receive as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others outside the review process.

Objectivity and Constructive Feedback

Reviewers must provide clear, objective, and constructive feedback to help authors improve their work, and avoid personal or biased commentary.

Citation and Plagiarism Check

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and alert the editor to any suspicion of plagiarism or duplicate submission.

Scientific Integrity

The publisher is responsible for maintaining the academic integrity of the journal by ensuring that all published content meets ethical and scholarly standards.

Corrections and Retractions

The publisher will issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary to maintain the accuracy and ethical integrity of the scholarly record.

JIRER takes ethical breaches seriously. In the event of misconduct such as plagiarism, falsification of data, or other unethical behaviors the journal will take appropriate actions, which may include retraction of the article and notification to relevant academic or institutional bodies.
