Publication Ethics

Ethical standards for authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher.

AN-NASYI'IN is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity throughout the editorial and publishing process. This statement provides ethical guidelines for authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher to ensure that all published articles meet internationally accepted standards of scholarly publishing.

The journal expects all parties involved in the publication process to uphold principles of honesty, transparency, fairness, accountability, academic integrity, and respect for intellectual property. Any form of unethical publishing behavior is considered unacceptable.


Responsibilities of Editors

  • Evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to the field.
  • Maintain fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the editorial process.
  • Ensure that submitted manuscripts undergo an objective peer-review process.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when necessary.
  • Take appropriate action in response to ethical concerns, corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when required.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
  • Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
  • Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical misconduct.
  • Decline the review if a conflict of interest exists.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submit original research that has not been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
  • Present research findings accurately without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
  • Provide proper acknowledgment and citation of all sources.
  • Ensure that authorship accurately reflects individual contributions.
  • Disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
  • Promptly notify the editor if significant errors are identified after publication.

Research Integrity

Authors are expected to conduct research ethically and responsibly. Any research involving human participants or sensitive data should comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional regulations. Where required, authors should obtain ethical approval and informed consent before conducting the research.


Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or excessive similarity may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision according to the editorial assessment.


Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the objectivity of the publication process. When conflicts of interest exist, appropriate measures will be taken to ensure an unbiased editorial decision.


Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or evidence of research misconduct are identified after publication, the journal may publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
