Strategi Edukatif Membangun Kesadaran Hukum Remaja dalam Menghadapi Ancaman Penyalahgunaan Narkotika di SMKS YPP Ciputri

Abstract

Drug abuse remains a serious social and public health concern, particularly because it has increasingly affected adolescents at the junior and senior secondary education levels. This condition may lead to various adverse consequences for students’ physical and mental health, academic performance, and social life. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge, awareness, and understanding of the dangers of drug abuse and to strengthen legal awareness as a preventive effort within the school environment. The activity was conducted through educational outreach and seminar sessions involving students of SMKS YPP Ciputri. The materials covered the types and dangers of drugs, the impact of drug abuse on health and social life, legal consequences, and preventive strategies that can be applied in daily life. The implementation of the activity indicated an improvement in students’ understanding and awareness of the risks associated with drug abuse and the importance of avoiding behaviors that may lead to the misuse of prohibited substances. The seminar also reinforced the understanding that drug abuse prevention requires collaborative involvement among schools, families, law enforcement authorities, and the wider community. Therefore, educational outreach and seminars can serve as relevant preventive approaches to promote positive behavior and create a safer school environment. This activity is expected to make a sustainable contribution to drug abuse prevention efforts at SMKS YPP Ciputri and serve as a model that can be further developed in similar community service programs in other educational settings.
