Gerakan Daurah Ramadhan Ramah Anak : Integrasi Nilai Ibadah dan Perlindungan Anak

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to develop a "Child-Friendly Ramadan Program" model that integrates religious worship values ​​with child protection principles. The initiative was motivated by the observation that religious guidance for children often prioritizes rote memorization and formal discipline, while approaches that consider psychological development, participation, and child protection have not yet been fully implemented. The program was conducted at the *TPQ Fathul Mubarok Plus Tahfidz* (an Islamic religious education center) in Krandegan Hamlet, Kedungmlati Village, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency, involving elementary school-aged children and adolescents, as well as their parents in the mentoring process. The activities utilized mentoring, the delivery of religious and parenting content, discussions, and Q&A sessions, all underpinned by a participatory and humanistic approach. The results indicate a positive shift in the conduct of religious activities; children became more enthusiastic about Ramadan events and more actively engaged, while also demonstrating improvements in discipline, responsibility, patience, and social awareness. Furthermore, parents and program organizers gained an understanding of the importance of using gentle, safe, and non-violent approaches when guiding children in religious practice. This initiative demonstrates that integrating worship values ​​with child protection can be effectively implemented within a rural community context, offering a potential model for religious guidance that is educational, humanistic, and sustainable. Thus, the Child-Friendly Ramadan Program serves not only as a means of spiritual strengthening but also as a vehicle for character building and the creation of a religious environment that supports children's growth and development.
