Abstract

This study is motivated by the prevalence of contemporary moral decline among students, manifested in issues such as deteriorating communication ethics, cyberbullying, and acute individualism, driven by the wave of digital disruption. These phenomena demonstrate that intellectual intelligence devoid of spiritual values ​​produces a generation lacking in self-control. The study aims to analyze the strategic role of Islamic character education as the primary foundation for student morality, explore models of synergistic role-modeling, and formulate practical curricular implications that address the challenges of the digital era. A qualitative approach utilizing descriptive-analytical library research was employed; data were gathered through document analysis and examined using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that character education grounded in classical Islamic thought serves as a vital instrument for fostering the spontaneous habituation of the soul (khuluq) and balancing human psychological faculties to counteract the negative impacts of digital globalization. Practically, the study recommends restructuring educational models by expanding the concept of digital role-modeling (Cyber-Uswah), strengthening curricula regarding Islamic digital literacy, and optimizing the synergy of the "tri-center" education system (home, school, and community) to cultivate a generation that is technologically adaptive yet possesses noble character.
