1. Introduction

Al-Furqon: Journal of Islamic Economics, Management and Finance is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

2. Ethical Guidelines for Authors

2.1 Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.

2.2 Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication

Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently.

2.3 Acknowledgment of Sources

All sources of data and ideas must be properly cited.

2.4 Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.

2.5 Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.

2.6 Fundamental Errors in Published Works

If authors discover a significant error in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor.


3. Ethical Guidelines for Editors

3.1 Publication Decisions

Editors are responsible for deciding which articles should be published based on their academic merit.

3.2 Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts without regard to authors’ race, gender, religious belief, or institutional affiliation.

3.3 Confidentiality

Editors must ensure confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Editors must not use unpublished materials in their own research without written consent from the author.


4. Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

4.1 Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts.

4.2 Confidentiality

Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.

4.3 Objectivity Standards

Reviews should be conducted objectively with clear arguments.

4.4 Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

4.5 Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.


5. Ethical Oversight

The journal ensures that all research involving human subjects, financial data, or Islamic economic practices complies with ethical standards and applicable regulations.


6. Publication Malpractice

Any form of unethical behavior such as plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and improper authorship is strictly prohibited.


7. Complaints and Appeals

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions. Complaints will be handled according to COPE guidelines.


8. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right to publish their work. Articles may be distributed under an open-access policy.
