Al-Furqon: Journal of Islamic Economics, Management and Finance

1. General Information

Al-Furqon: Journal of Islamic Economics, Management and Finance is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews in the fields of Islamic economics, management, and finance. The journal aims to contribute to the development of theory and practice at both national and international levels.

2. Scope of the Journal

The journal welcomes manuscripts in (but not limited to):

  • Islamic Economics
  • Islamic Banking and Finance
  • Sharia Financial Technology (FinTech)
  • Islamic Business and Management
  • Zakat, Waqf, and Islamic Philanthropy
  • Halal Industry and Supply Chain
  • Islamic Accounting
  • Behavioral Islamic Finance
  • Sustainable Islamic Economy

3. Types of Manuscripts

Authors may submit:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles (Systematic / Narrative)
  • Conceptual Papers

4. Manuscript Requirements

  • The manuscript must be original, not previously published, and not under review elsewhere.
  • Written in English (preferred) or Bahasa Indonesia with proper academic language.
  • Length: 5,000 – 8,000 words (including references).
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).

5. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be arranged as follows:

a. Title

  • Clear, concise, and informative (max. 15 words)

b. Author Information

  • Full name(s) (without academic titles)
  • Affiliation(s)
  • Email address of corresponding author

c. Abstract

  • 150–250 words
  • Written in English
  • Include: background, purpose, method, results, and conclusion

d. Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords

e. Introduction

  • Background
  • Research problem
  • Objectives
  • Literature review (brief)

f. Methods

  • Research design
  • Data collection
  • Data analysis

g. Results and Discussion

  • Findings clearly presented
  • Analytical discussion supported by relevant theories and previous studies

h. Conclusion

  • Summary of findings
  • Implications
  • Recommendations

i. References

  • Minimum 15 references
  • 80% from reputable journals (last 5–10 years)

6. Citation Style

  • Use APA Style (7th Edition)
  • Recommended to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote

7. Tables and Figures

  • Must be numbered sequentially
  • Include titles and sources
  • Ensure clarity and readability

8. Plagiarism Policy

  • Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism
  • Maximum similarity index: 20%
  • Checked using plagiarism detection software

9. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system
  • Authors must register before submitting
  • Ensure all metadata is completed correctly

10. Peer Review Process

  • Double-blind peer review
  • Review process takes approximately 2–4 weeks
  • Authors may be required to revise the manuscript

11. Publication Ethics

This journal follows standard publication ethics:

12. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • Submission Fee: Free
