Abstract

The contemporary workplace requires not only technical competence but also a balance of spiritual and moral development among employees. This community service program aimed to develop a structured model of religious guidance through daily short sermons (kultum) at Gambia Department Store, Pondok Modern Gontor, Ponorogo. The program was implemented over a three-month period involving 50 employees, using a service-learning approach that integrated material delivery, discussion, practical application, and reflection within the workplace context. Program evaluation employed behavioral observation, attendance documentation, oral reflection sessions, and brief structured interviews. The results indicated a 62% increase in participation in congregational worship and an improvement in work discipline scores from 3.1 to 4.2 on a five-point Likert scale. Participants also demonstrated enhanced responsibility and teamwork. These findings suggest that workplace-based spiritual guidance effectively strengthens Islamic work ethics and fosters a more religious and professional organizational culture. The model offers practical implications for human resource development and may be replicated in other workplace settings to promote character formation and sustainable organizational values.
