Abstract

The Quran literacy movement is a strategic effort to improve the ability to read, understand, and practice the values ​​of the Quran among the younger generation. However, the low intensity of training and mentoring has resulted in the interest and ability of Quran literacy among teenagers in the Jami' Mosque of Pulau Banyak Regency, Langkat Regency, not developing optimally. This community service activity aims to improve Quran literacy skills and strengthen the religious character of teenagers through systematic training and mentoring. The implementation method includes the stages of needs observation, material preparation, training, mentoring the practice of reading the Quran according to the rules of tajweed, habituation of tadarus, and evaluation of activity results through observation and assessment of participant abilities before and after training. The target of the activity is teenagers at the Jami' Mosque of Pulau Banyak Regency, Langkat Regency. The results of the activity show an increase in Quran reading skills, basic understanding of tajweed, motivation to participate in religious activities, and the formation of sustainable Quran literacy habits. In addition, the mentoring provided is able to increase the active participation of teenagers in mosque activities and strengthen religious values, discipline, and social responsibility. Thus, the Quranic literacy movement mentoring training program is effective as a model for empowering mosque youth in building a sustainable Quranic literacy culture within the community.
