PENDAMPINGAN PELAYANAN BADAN AMIL ZAKAT NASIONAL (BAZNAS) KABUPATEN TEGAL DALAM KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT TEGAL

Abstract

Poverty and unemployment are ongoing economic challenges that persist despite various government efforts. In the context of Islamic economics, the management of zakat by the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) plays a crucial role in addressing these social issues. Zakat, as an obligation to assist the less fortunate, must be managed effectively to provide maximum benefits. BAZNAS Tegal Regency focuses on the collection and distribution of productive zakat, accompanying beneficiaries (mustahik), and ensuring that the implementation adheres to Islamic law. Zakat distribution is carried out both consumptively and productively. The process includes application, verification, and identification of the needs of mustahik to ensure that assistance is targeted appropriately. The internship at BAZNAS Tegal Regency has taught the significance of effective zakat management and provided firsthand experience in accounting and organizational operations. This activity aims to improve community welfare and reduce unemployment rates.
