Character education, particularly religious character, is crucial in shaping an Indonesian generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also morally upright and spiritually strong. One effective way to instill religious values is through the habituation of Dhuha prayer in madrasahs. This activity teaches students discipline, sincerity, and spiritual responsibility. Teachers play a central role in guiding, setting an example, and consistently building students’ worship habits. However, low student awareness and suboptimal teacher guidance strategies remain significant challenges. This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in developing students’ religious character through the habituation of Dhuha prayer at MI Nurur Rahman Tamanan. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teachers implement structured planning strategies, consistent execution, and continuous evaluation in habituating Dhuha prayer. This activity serves not only as a worship routine but also as a means of internalizing religious values such as sincerity, discipline, spiritual responsibility, and courtesy. Despite challenges like students’ initial lack of understanding and time constraints, the support of the madrasah head, teacher involvement, and collaboration with parents are key factors in the program’s success. These findings reinforce the importance of worship habituation strategies in forming a holistic and sustainable religious character.
