Individual perception is a psychological process that allows someone to capture, organize, and interpret information from their surrounding environment. In the context of organizations, perception plays an important role in shaping attitudes, work behaviors, and social interactions among individuals. Every member of an organization has a unique perception of policies, leadership, workload, and organizational culture, which can affect work effectiveness both individually and as a team. This article aims to examine how perceptions are formed, the factors that influence them, and their impact on organizational dynamics. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation in several student organizations within higher education institutions. The research results show that the formation of perception is greatly influenced by personal experiences, interpersonal relations, and leadership styles within the organization. Positive perceptions arise when individuals feel valued, involved in decision-making, and receive open communication. Conversely, negative perceptions arise from negative experiences, one-way communication, and the dominance of authoritarian power. The formed perceptions then affect work attitudes, motivation, and members' loyalty to the organization. A deep understanding of the process of perception formation can serve as an important reference for organizational leaders in creating a fairer, more open, and participatory work environment.
