Harmonizing the Merdeka Curriculum in Aqidah and Akhlak Learning at Islamic Senior High Schools: Addressing the Challenges of the Moral Crisis in the Society 5.0 Era

The Society 5.0 era presents serious challenges in the form of moral degradation among students. This study aims to analyze the synchronization of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation in Akidah Akhlak learning with this phenomenon. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, using observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings indicate that the learning process has integrated contextually relevant moral values, yet it still faces challenges related to students’ moral decline. Adaptation efforts are carried out through three stages: preventive (religious and character habituation), curative (discipline through dialogical approaches), and rehabilitative (strengthening the 5S culture and critical digital literacy). The study concludes that such synchronization requires collaboration among schools, parents, and the community to ensure more effective moral education in addressing the challenges of the Society 5.0 era.
