Plagiarism Statement

Dirasat al-Hadith: Journal of Hadith Sciences is committed to maintaining academic integrity and preventing all forms of plagiarism and unethical publishing practices.

All submitted manuscripts must represent original work by the authors and must properly acknowledge the ideas, data, words, and contributions of other researchers through appropriate citation and referencing.

Forms of Plagiarism

Direct Plagiarism

Copying words, sentences, paragraphs, or substantial parts of another work without proper acknowledgment.

Mosaic Plagiarism

Using phrases, structures, or ideas from other sources without adequate citation or modification.

Self-Plagiarism

Republishing significant parts of the author's previous work without proper disclosure.

Duplicate Submission

Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously or publishing duplicate articles.

Plagiarism Screening Process

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process. The editorial team uses plagiarism detection tools to identify similarities between submitted manuscripts and previously published materials.

Screening Procedure:
  • Initial plagiarism checking is conducted during editorial screening.
  • Manuscripts with significant similarity issues may be returned to authors for revision.
  • Manuscripts containing serious plagiarism may be rejected without further review.
  • The editorial board reserves the right to investigate suspected ethical violations.

Similarity Consideration

The editorial team evaluates similarity reports carefully by considering the context, citation practices, methodology descriptions, and legitimate use of commonly used academic terminology.

Similarity percentage alone does not determine acceptance or rejection. The final decision is based on academic judgment, ethical considerations, and the originality of the manuscript.

Author Responsibility

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their submitted manuscripts.
  • Authors must provide accurate citations for all referenced sources.
  • Authors must obtain permission for copyrighted materials when required.
  • Authors must disclose any previous publication or related manuscripts.

Commitment to Academic Integrity

Dirasat al-Hadith promotes responsible scholarship by ensuring that all published articles meet the highest standards of originality, transparency, and ethical research practices.
