Author Guidelines
Guidelines for authors preparing and submitting manuscripts to Dirasat al-Hadith: Journal of Hadith Sciences.
General Requirements
- Manuscripts submitted to Dirasat al-Hadith must be original works and must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.
- The manuscript must be relevant to the journal's focus and scope, particularly in the field of Hadith sciences and related Islamic studies.
- Authors must ensure that all sources, references, and quotations are properly acknowledged.
- The manuscript must comply with academic writing standards and the journal's formatting requirements.
- All submissions must be made electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Types of Manuscripts
Original research presenting significant findings, theoretical contributions, or methodological developments in Hadith studies.
Critical reviews and analytical studies of existing literature related to Hadith scholarship.
Theoretical discussions and scholarly reflections on contemporary issues in Hadith sciences.
Manuscript Structure
Authors are required to organize manuscripts according to the following structure:
- Title
- Author Name and Affiliation
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Research Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Specific Requirements for Hadith Studies
- Hadith quotations must include accurate references from primary Hadith sources.
- Studies involving sanad and matan analysis must present clear methodological explanations.
- Takhrij studies should provide reliable source tracing and authentication analysis.
- Authors should demonstrate appropriate use of classical and contemporary Hadith literature.
- Research methodology must be clearly explained and academically justified.
Ethical Requirements
Authors must comply with ethical publishing standards, including originality, proper citation, avoidance of plagiarism, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and responsibility for the accuracy of submitted research.
Submission Preparation
Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal guidelines and manuscript template before submission. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements may be returned for revision before entering the peer-review process.
