Abstract

The Education Management Information System (SIMP) plays a strategic role in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of managing educational institutions in the digital era. This article aims to examine the relationship between information systems and educational organizations, strategies for their use, their impact on performance, and the associated ethical issues. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method through the analysis of various relevant scientific sources. The study's findings show that information systems not only function as administrative tools but also as strategic instruments that can improve the quality of educational services, support data-based decision-making, and drive organizational culture transformation. However, the implementation of information systems also brings various ethical challenges, such as privacy issues, data security, accountability, and technology access gaps. Therefore, it is necessary to manage information systems based on ethical principles, such as responsibility, fairness, and transparency, so that their use can provide optimal benefits for all stakeholders in education.
