Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency of emulating the exemplary qualities of the Prophets known as Ulul Azmi in the development of adaptive and transformative Islamic education. The primary aim of this study is to analyze the educational values, spirit, and distinctive leadership characteristics of the Ulul Azmi prophets as recorded in the Qur’an, and to explore their relevance for the formulation of prophetic education models in the modern era. Employing a qualitative method with thematic exegesis analysis and a review of educational literature, this study finds that each Ulul Azmi prophet possesses unique educational characteristics and values, such as perseverance, monotheism, courage, sacrifice, compassion, moderation, and transformative leadership. These values and spirits are highly relevant for integration into contemporary curricula and educational practices, as an effort to cultivate generations who are intellectually, spiritually, and morally excellent. The findings provide significant implications for the development of Islamic education models rooted in prophetic values, which are capable of addressing contemporary challenges while preserving the noble legacy of prophetic exemplars.
