IMPLEMENTASI MEDIA VIDEO INTERAKTIF BERBASIS MASALAH PADA MATERI DINASTI UMAYYAH SEJARAH KEBUDAYAAN ISLAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERNALAR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK

This research was motivated by the low critical reasoning ability of students in learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI) on the Umayyad Dynasty material, which had commonly been delivered conventionally. Problem-based interactive video media was used to increase students' active engagement. This study aimed to describe the planning process, implementation, and impact of the media on the critical reasoning ability of eighth-grade students at SMPI YANUBA. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving 46 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, with validity maintained through triangulation. The results showed that planning was systematically arranged through teaching modules, video media selection, and student worksheets. Implementation ran well through video screening, group discussion, and presentation, supported by the Smart TV Merah Putih. Students' critical reasoning ability improved, shown through greater confidence in expressing opinions, ability to analyze problems, providing logically reasoned answers, and connecting the video with historical material. It is concluded that the implementation of problem-based interactive video media is effective in improving students' critical reasoning ability in SKI learning, although continuous habituation is still needed.
