Abstract

This study aims to analyze government policies in responding to contemporary developments and their implications for the transformation of Indonesia's education system from the perspective of the sociology of education. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through the observation of social phenomena and a literature review of educational policies and relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that educational policy transformation has encouraged a more adaptive, student-centered, and technology-based learning paradigm. However, its implementation continues to face challenges, including unequal access to education, disparities in digital infrastructure, and varying levels of readiness among teachers and educational institutions. From the perspective of the sociology of education, this transformation reflects the role of education as an agent of social change that requires collaboration among the government, schools, families, and communities to achieve an inclusive, high-quality, and equitable education system.
