Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of moral decadence in the digital era, such as the decline of manners, acute narcissism, and a spiritual crisis among the younger generation, which demands a reactualization of authoritative local educational values. This study aims to explore the values ​​of character education from the perspective of Syaikhona Kholil Bangkalan and formulate their relevance and implementation strategies in the context of contemporary Islamic education. Using a qualitative method based on library research with a pedagogical-historical approach, the primary data for this study are sourced from Syaikhona Kholil's biography and scholarly records, analyzed using content analysis techniques. The research findings show that fundamental values ​​such as Riyadhoh (spiritual practice), Wara’ (prudence), and Ta’dzim (courtesy towards teachers) have strong relevance as instruments for digital ethics filtration and self-regulation amidst technological disruption. The proposed reactualization strategies include integrating an adab-based curriculum, transforming riyadhoh into "digital fasting," and strengthening educators' role models in the virtual space. This research concludes that Syaikhona Kholil's thinking is not merely a historical legacy, but rather a "moral anchor" capable of strengthening the integrity of human beings in the era of Society 5.0.
