Konstruksi Proses Memperoleh Keuntungan dalam Al-Qur’an: Kajian I‘Jāz Iqtiṣādī

Profit is one of the important objectives in economic activities; however, the Qur’an does not only focus on the results obtained but also on the process undertaken to achieve them. This article aims to examine the construction of the process of obtaining profit in the Qur’an from the perspective of i‘jāz iqtiṣādī. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research and thematic interpretation of Qur’anic verses related to the process of obtaining profit. The primary source is the Qur’an, particularly QS. al-Jumu‘ah [62]: 10, QS. al-Nisā’ [4]: 29, QS. al-Baqarah [2]: 275, and QS. al-Muṭaffifīn [83]: 1–3, which are analyzed based on their interconnected meanings and economic messages. The findings indicate that the Qur’an constructs the process of obtaining profit through four interconnected principles: effort and endeavor, trade based on mutual consent, the use of lawful mechanisms, and honesty and justice in transactions. These four principles demonstrate that profit from the Qur’anic perspective is not measured solely by the magnitude of economic returns but also by the means through which they are obtained. The aspect of i‘jāz iqtiṣādī is reflected in the integration of these verses in forming an ethical system that guides economic activities from effort to obtaining profit in a lawful and just manner.
